Fabrimetal is a private company headquarted in the Viana Industrial Park, Angola, 25 km from Luanda, the country's capital. Established in 2006, Fabrimetal is a leader in the production of FM TMT (thermomrchanical treatment) rebars used in civil, residential, commercial and industrial construction.
Fabrimetal's FM TMT® technology (thermomechanical treatment) is used in the production of rebar with ig tensile strength, through heating and cooling processes that generate a combination of microstrutural characteristics in the material's profile. All steel bars are hot rolled before goig through the following three phases.
The stell bars pass through a specially designed, fully automated and computer-controlled cooling chamber. The surface of the bar is sprayed with water jets, maintaining a cooler external temperature and a high core temperature.
The bars are removed from the cooling chamber and set until the surface solidifies, forming an outer layer of tempered martensite.
